The jail is in Spanish Fork, not Provo, which matters because many court and prosecutor offices remain in the county seat while jail business routes to the County Security Center. The sheriff's corrections pages describe the jail as holding people who are waiting for court hearings and people sentenced to incarceration. Utah County Jail Record Fields

The detail page may show a photo if it is still within the public photo window. Status codes make Utah County Jail records more precise than a plain "in custody" list. The Sheriff's Records page says records can include case reports, accident reports, photographs, recordings, and other sheriff records. It asks requesters to use the NextRequest GRAMA portal when possible. Photo ID is required before records are released, a notarized release is required when requesting on behalf of another person, and the local page cites a 10-business-day response expectation except in extraordinary cases.
Utah County Jail Visits
Personal visits at Utah County Jail are remote video through Securus. The inmate initiates the Video Connect call from the housing area, and family or friends fund the communication through an AdvanceConnect account. Jail visiting staff no longer schedule ordinary personal visits. Visitors need a Securus account, a state-issued driver's license or ID, and a current clear photo without sunglasses or animations. The first three days after incarceration are generally not available for visits, and the wait can be longer depending on classification or circumstances.

Utah County Jail mail uses the inmate's first and last name, booking number, jail name, and Spanish Fork address. Mail is picked up and delivered Monday through Friday except holidays. Personal mail is screened, so it should not be treated as private. Privileged mail from public officials, attorneys, or courts must be marked correctly and show letterhead or the sender's name; it is opened and inspected for contraband in the inmate's presence. Utah County Jail Booking
The booking path starts when a police agency brings a person to the jail or when a person reports for a court commitment. Booking records criminal charges, warrants, commitments, holds, and detainee status. Every inmate receives a medical intake by a registered nurse. The nurse checks allergies, injuries, current medical problems, medications, mental health issues, substance abuse concerns, and infectious disease risk, including tuberculosis. Medication may be verified through bottles, the prescriber, or the pharmacy, and an on-call physician decides whether it continues in jail.
Classification staff determine housing assignment and classification level, usually within 3 to 5 days from incarceration. Factors can include current charges, past convictions, escape history, institutional conduct, felony history, alcohol or drug use, age, employment, and other stability factors. Classification affects housing, programs, visiting, day-room access, and commissary. The booking process also has timing limits: releases, commitments, and fingerprints are not processed during lockdown windows from 5:15 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and commitments are not accepted between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Utah County Jail Programs
Utah County Jail services include inmate phones, religious access, school programs, substance-abuse meetings, medical services, inmate services, canteen or commissary, and visitation. The O.U.T. Program is a short residential substance-dependency program with Wasatch Behavioral Health. Eligible inmates receive about 20 hours of programming each week, usually four hours per day, five days per week, for 13 weeks. Jail Industries and Work Diversion add work-focused options for eligible people, with Work Diversion allowing sentenced participants to maintain full-time jobs while completing supervised community work projects.
State and federal custody should be kept separate from Utah County Jail lookup.
